How can I make money from the App?

You can make money from your app by enabling your customers to do more of what usually generates revenue for your business. ie Sell products, food orders, bookings, offer services, all which can be paid for with Credit/Debit Card or PayPal. If you don’t have a product or service to sell, you can make money from Ads in your App, or sell the App via the App Stores.

Is there a minimum term contract?

There are no lock-in periods with monthly Core, Professional or Enterprise plans so you can cancel your account at any time.

However, if you wish to take advantage of the 20% discount for the annual upfront payment we can not refund any of the payment should you wish to cancel within the first 12 months.

If I decide to cancel my subscription, what happens to the app?

Your app will continue to run until the end of its current billing period (e.g. end of your current billing month or year), then at this time the App will be unpublished from Apple App Store and Google Play.

Are there any hidden charges?

No! We’ve reduced your set up charges by allowing you to submit your App to our own Apple and Google Developer Accounts – saving you $99 annually for Apple and a one-time fee of $25 for Google.

However if you want to charge for your App or be named as the developer you are required to use your own App Store Developer accounts.

Can I upgrade my hosting at any time?

Yes, you can upgrade your hosting account to PLUS or PREMIUM at any time, or downgrade to PLUS OR STARTER packages, with 30 days notice.

Can we use our own iOS App and Google Play store accounts?

Yes, you have the choice to use our accounts which are free of charge or your own which has a one off fee to cover the additional time spent to set this up.

What can I link my App to (i.e. websites, databases etc)?

Any web content, or web link can be embedded into the App. ie if you use a web widget like OpenTable for bookings, this can be integrated into your app.

What is a CRM?

The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) allows you to see a full list of all your customers who are using the app, including all their details and app actions. App actions consist of any action a customer takes within the app, eg orders, purchases, bookings, messages, forms completed, loyalty earned etc. Additionally you can also send one-2-one messages and create customer groups, to allow messaging to defined customer types.

How long does an App take to build?

Depending on the complexity of the App and availability of content, the App build should take between 1-4 weeks.

What happens when Apple or Android launch a new version of their software? Will My Apps stop working?

Maintenance comes included with all Hove Digital packages. Our developers monitor new developments and will make sure your apps are compatible with the latest software and app store updates at all times, at no extra cost to you at all.

Can I monetise my apps?

Yes, you can monetise your apps if you wish – either by making them paid on the app store or adding ads within the apps. There would be an additional charge for changes made after the initial app build and a small charge to cover any time to administer app payments made to our customers.

Do you offer custom App builds?

Yes, if you have an app requirement that falls outside of our platform’s capabilities, then a bespoke custom development project could be your best route.

We can be ready to take your app ideas and design, develop and launch them into the App Stores.

Typically custom development projects, by the nature of them being bespoke and one-off, are resource intensive and take a lot longer to complete. Project costs are driven by resource, so the more complex or bigger the project, the longer it takes and the more expensive it becomes.
